fillertext | Elizabeth Martin, landscape designer, left a career as dancer and choreographer to work as a writer, arts consultant and planner on a major landscape and public space improvement project in downtown Washington, D.C. Ms. Martin graduated from Radcliffe College. She received a certificate in gardening and an advanced Certificate in Landscape Design from the New York Botanical Garden and has completed landscape and site designs for private residences, institutions and public buildings. Ms Martin's entry in the Landscape Elements for People with AIDS competition received a citation from the City of Boston and the Boston Society of Architects in 1992. A collaborative design with a sculptor won honorable mention in a competition for the Korean Veteran's Memorial in Pittsburgh. |
