Front Parlor
Horace Greeley, noted publisher and politician, lived in this house from 1864 to 1873. The exterior, including the porch, was restored and the interior was carefully rehabilitated for use as an archive/ library, offices and house museum operated by the New Castle Historical Society. The project won a 2000 First Honor Community Design Award from the American Institute of Architects.
